Build A Football Team Prime Cards (100+ OVR)

Shop-bought 100+ faces. They fill holes. They do not skip chemistry, cups, or a finished 2026 captain.

Prime Cards

Prime cards are the 100+ OVR shop class in Build A Football Team. They sit above 99 captains on the raw band and below 105+ Cup standouts, Limitbreakers, and GOAT Edition. You buy them from the Hourly Shop, not from the CODES box. About twenty rotate each cycle. This page is the collection class. The spend walkthrough is the Hourly Shop guide.

Bloxheed’s listing (Build A Soccer Squad) still says every athlete is fictional. Treat Prime names as skins. Do not copy a YouTube “god XI” of obfuscated surnames into your notes as if it were a licensed database. Rank slots and links. The mid-article video is a post-2030 meta clip for button context; this wiki will not reprint a fake all-time eleven from it.

Where Primes live in the ladder

The card tiers table is the spend sheet. Prime is the first class you purchase by name instead of rolling:

Below PrimePrimeAbove Prime
Common / Rare / Special packs100+ Hourly Shop (~20 rotate)Cup standout 105+ (five Cup Mode wins)
99 captains (2026 grid)Coins in, one face outLimitbreaker / GOAT Edition
Premium 2002 captainsAlso unlocks as a rare future rollBest XI chase from GOAT XI

A Prime that shares nation, league, or club with neighbors and sits in a natural slot is how free-to-play accounts cross 100 Squad OVR without a Limitbreaker lottery. A Prime that sits on grey lines is a lobby flex. Chemistry still decides whether the 100+ actually raises the HUD.

Buying a Prime also indexes it. Later packs can show that face as a rare variant. That is the second reason to buy a hole-filler instead of a duplicate 102 from a country you will never finish.

When a 100 should bench a 99

Keep the captain when:

  • It is already in a natural slot.
  • It paints two green or blue lines the Prime would break.
  • You have not finished a second 2026 grid to replace those links.

Bench the captain only when the Prime plays the same slot, keeps at least as many neighbor tags, and the HUD still needs the extra point to hold 93 OVR comfortably into later rounds. Panic-buying a Prime onto ST while the 99 captain moves to the bench is the classic shop mistake. Auto-pick on auto build will do that for you if you let it. Lock the cell on the team planner.

Use the OVR checklist before the shop, not after. If the leak is RB, a Prime ST is not a Prime. If the leak is GK, wait the hour rather than Refresh-spamming attacking faces.

What Primes cannot do

They cannot redeem codes. They cannot finish a Rewards grid. They cannot unlock Cup standouts. They cannot become Limitbreakers because you refreshed the board. They cannot survive a 2030 Future Stars or GOAT XI pool swap if you bought a tourist who never linked.

They also cannot outrun an empty slot. Fill the 4-3-3 from packs first — getting started, how to play. Then one 2026 nation. Then 93 and cups. Then Hourly Shop holes. That order is the best team spine. Prime is step four or five, not step one.

Coins still come from quests and 2X weekends, cups, and completed sets. Live codes (GOAT, FUTURE, UNIVERSE, CONSOLE, LIMITBREAKER, DOUBLE) pay Rerolls and Refreshes so you can Refresh a junk Prime row or keep indexing. They do not print coins. How to redeem if the button is off the HUD.

Community videos after the 2030 tag show specific high faces at LW, ST, RW, CB, GK. Those names rotate and are fictional. This page will not freeze them. If a clip says a 2030 winger replaced an older Prime, believe the slot (RW/RM), not the spelling. Confirm the live Hourly Shop. Confirm card tiers. Confirm best players by position.

Index the Prime you bought. If Rewards still needs three 2026 cards, go back to packs. If Cup is still locked, stop shopping. If the eleven is 96 with one grey full-back, the next Prime is that full-back or you wait. Official listing: links hub. Current event tag: updates.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common squad-building questions.

How do I get Prime cards in Build A Football Team?

Buy them with coins from the Hourly Shop. About twenty rotate each hour. A Refresh reshuffles that board. Walkthrough: Hourly Shop guide.

Is a Prime always better than a captain?

The band is higher (100+ vs 99). A linked captain often still starts. Only replace the captain when the Prime keeps the links and plays the same natural slot.

Do Primes drop from codes?

No. Codes pay Rerolls and Refreshes. Primes cost coins in the Hourly Shop. Claim codes so you can Refresh a bad Prime row.

How many Prime cards are there?

Community shop guides put the rotating pool near twenty per cycle. You will not see all of them at once. Wait an hour or Refresh with a named leak.

Should I buy a Prime before Cup Mode?

Only if it is the slot keeping you under 93 OVR with chemistry. Five cup wins still beat a random 101 for the 105+ standout class.
