Build A Football Team Best Players by Role
Slot-by-slot chase order for the 4-3-3. Rank card types. Do not copy a named god squad from a screenshot.
The best players question in Build A Football Team is a slot question. The pitch is always a 4-3-3: ST, LW, RW, three midfielders, LB, two CBs, RB, GK. Chemistry cares whether the card’s printed role matches the hole. A 99 captain who actually plays ST will beat a tourist Limitbreaker you jammed on the wing “because the OVR was huge.”
This page ranks card types per position. It does not publish a fake all-time real-world XI. Bloxheed’s Roblox page states that in-game players are fictional. Names you see in clips are presentation; they are not a licensed roster you can treat as a transfer list.
S-tier classes across the eleven: GOAT Edition, Limitbreakers, 105+ Cup standouts, linked 99 captains, and Prime 100+ that fit. Full acquisition routes sit on card tiers. Use the team planner to test a swap before you buy it.
Rank types, not a copied eleven
Leaderboard videos freeze a moment. One popular community screenshot used a front line in the Ronaldinho ~104 / GB Messi ~109 / SB Muller ~105 band, with GB midfielders and a GB keeper nearby. Those numbers were clip ratings. They move when Cup cards get tuned, when Limitbreaker quests land, and when GOAT XI adds a higher class. If you rebuild that exact name list today you may own dead ratings and grey links.
Rules that survive patches:
- Prefer a card that plays the slot over a higher OVR that does not.
- Prefer a card that shares a nation / league / club tag with neighbors.
- Prefer a repeatable route (captain completion, Hourly Shop, five cups) over a 0.2% lottery until the eleven is already Cup-legal.
- When two cards are the same class, keep the one that preserves the cluster you already built.
The chemistry guide is mandatory reading next to this page. The best team guide shows how to assemble classes without pretending Bloxheed named eleven starters.
Position chase order
Work the 4-3-3 from the slots that punish you most when they are wrong.
Striker (ST). This is the card everyone screenshots and the card that wrecks chemistry when it is a winger in disguise. Chase order: GOAT Edition ST if you own the Best XI luck → Limitbreaker ST → 105+ Cup ST → linked 99 captain who actually plays through the middle → Prime 100+ ST from the Hourly Shop → a Special who at least has the ST tag. Do not park a 104-rated community winger at ST “because the number is bigger.” If your nation core is Brazil, England, Germany, Spain, or similar, a captain from that 2026 set will often out-score a random Prime until GOAT luck arrives.
Wingers (LW / RW). Compromise here first. Winger OVR gaps are common in creator videos; a six-point drop on the wing hurts less than the same drop at ST or CB. Fill wings with linked Specials or a Prime that shares the cluster, then upgrade to Cup / Limitbreaker / GOAT when the rest of the eleven is already green. Dual-position Breakout cards (community examples have included wide attackers who also list LM) are useful if the printed roles include the slot you start. Otherwise they are collection trophies.
Central midfield (CMs). The 4-3-3 midfield touches defenders and the striker, so a grey CM tax hits twice. Priority: linked 99 captains and Prime 100+ that share your nation or league, then Cup 105+, then Limitbreaker / GOAT. A GB Modric-style screenshot from an older patch is a class hint (GB midfielder, high 100s), not an instruction to hunt that exact string. If you can only finish one 2026 nation, pick a country whose captain and midfielders actually play CM, not a country whose Rewards board is all fullbacks you do not start.
Centre backs (CBs) and fullbacks. Defence is where out-of-position cards hide. Two CBs who share a nation with the GK and the six will raise Squad OVR more than one celebrity CB on an island. Chase: GOAT / Limitbreaker CBs when you have them → Cup 105+ → captains from a finished 2026 set → Prime CBs that match the cluster. Fullbacks (LB / RB) are the usual leaderboard separators in community talks — people mention huge LB numbers — but those clips are not a live catalogue. If your LB is a converted CM, fix that before you buy another attacker.
Goalkeeper (GK). Keepers are a dedicated slot. A field player in goal is a self-own. Community clips have shown GB keepers in the high 100s and Limitbreaker keepers in later patches; treat the class as S-tier, not the specific name. Goalkeepers also tend to be easier to roll than a specific attacker in creator odds explainers, which is why you should not enter Cup with a Rare GK while you own a Prime you refuse to buy “because it is only a keeper.” Buy the Prime GK if it links. Save Limitbreaker luck for ST and CB if you already own a 100+ gloves card.
How to spend without a fake god squad
Session plan that respects the OVR checklist:
- Dump live codes so Rerolls exist.
- Fill every 4-3-3 hole with the correct role (how to play).
- Build one nation or league core (chemistry).
- Push 93 OVR and take Cup Mode.
- Finish one 2026 captain (how to get captains).
- Buy Hourly Shop Primes only for the worst slot on the checklist.
- After five cups, spend leftover luck on Limitbreaker and the GOAT Edition Best XI — ST and CBs first, wings last.
Auto build scripts will not know your cluster. If you use loaders from the scripts hub, lock the eleven yourself afterward.
When a creator posts a new 11, screenshot classes and positions, not the nameplate. If the ST is GOAT Edition, the CMs are linked captains, and the GK is Prime 100+, that is a real report. If the graphic is eleven famous surnames with no year tag, no chemistry, and no route, it is fan art. Patch notes on the Updates Hub decide when a class jumps; this page will not freeze a leaderboard that Bloxheed can retune on the next event swap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common squad-building questions.
Who is the best player in Build A Football Team?
Wrong question. Rank card types per slot. GOAT Edition and Limitbreakers sit at the top when they play the printed role and link. Names on clips are not a live catalogue.
Should I copy a YouTube 4-3-3 with GB Messi and Ronaldinho?
No. Those are community screenshots; ratings shift with patches. Copy the class order (GOAT / Limitbreaker / Cup / captain / Prime) and the positions, not the nameplate.
Which position should I upgrade first?
ST and the two CBs, then CMs, then GK if it is still a Rare, then wings. Wings are the usual compromise so you do not break chemistry for six OVR.
Do captains beat Prime cards?
A linked 99 captain often beats a Prime 100+ tourist. A Prime that plays the slot and shares your nation can replace a captain who does not. Chemistry decides.
Where do I plan the eleven before I spend?
Use the team planner and the OVR checklist. Then confirm routes on card tiers.
